Denee Barr Art News and More

Misako Ballet Company presented Free Studio Concert and Japan Relief Fundraiser on Saturday, April 16th from 1:00-1:30pm in Columbia, Maryland. The concert featured a mix of Japanese themed, contemporary and classical dance. At the end of the concert, children from the audience joined the performers on stage and learned a short dance and made origami cranes.

The audience had the opportunity to make origami cranes which will be sent to the Bezos Family Foundation. They will donate $2 for each crane received to Architecture for Humanity's reconstruction efforts in Japan. There was an opportunity to donate directly to an organization in Japan, Hearty Sendai that helps women and children living in refugee centers. www.bezosfamilyfoundation.org
